Jeffrey (Jay) Slocum, Jr. was born and raised in Tifton, GA. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2011.

Upon graduation, he was inducted into the The Forensic Club – an organization whose members are dedicated to law as a profession with the chief aim of providing public service. As an Assistant Solicitor in 2014, he received the Solicitor J. Strom Thurmond, Jr. Award of Excellence for his outstanding legal service to the Second Judicial Circuit.
