HENDERSON JOHNSON, JR. (Retired)

Henderson Johnson, Jr. was born in Aiken on September 24, 1928 and admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1963. He retired in January of 2009 after founding the firm in 1980.
Education:
Newberry College (B.S., 1952); University of South Carolina (LL.B., 1963). (U.S.M.C., active duty, 1946 - 1948) Phi Alpha Delta. Member, Society of Wig and Robe. Named one of the best lawyers in America by The Best Lawyers in America, Naifeh and Smith, Woodward/White, 1991-1992.

Aiken County Bar Association (President, 1984), S.C.; South Carolina Association for Justice.
After long involvement with Aiken County Youth Sports, Mr. Johnson was named a member of the Aiken County Sports Hall of Fame in 1989. He was named Citizen of the Year in 1969, and Man of the Year in 1998. He is an active member of Aiken First Baptist Church. Currently, Mr. Johnson is retired but remains actively involved in advising members of the firm. He is married to Doris Cunningham Johnson and they have four children, Barry, Vicki, Brad and Todd.
BARRY H. JOHNSON (1954-1995)

Barry H. Johnson was a founding partner in the law firm, and concentrated his practice in the areas of personal injury, workers' compensation and general civil litigation. Barry married Susan (Willing) Johnson, and they have two sons.
JAMES E. WHITTLE, JR.

James E. Whittle, Jr. was born on June 22, 1954, and reared in Gloverville, South Carolina. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1979; U.S. District Court in 1980; U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit, in 1989; and U.S. Supreme Court in 1991.
Education:
University of South Carolina (B.A., 1976; J.D., 1979). Assistant Solicitor, Second Judicial Circuit, 1979 - 1980; Aiken County Public Defender, 1980 - 1982.

James is recognized across the state for his passion and zeal as a Criminal Defense Attorney. He is married to Amanda F. (McGee) Whittle and they have two sons and one daughter.
PAIGE WEEKS JOHNSON

Paige Weeks Johnson was born in Munich, Germany, on April 23, 1964 and reared in Aiken. She was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1989.

TODD J. JOHNSON

Todd J. Johnson was born in Columbia on December 5, 1962 and reared In Aiken and admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1992.

BRETT H. LANCER

Brett H. Lancer was born in Charleston, SC, on October 10, 1982, and was admitted to the S.C. Bar in 2008.
Education:
The Citadel (B.A. 2005) and the Charleston School of Law (J.D. 2008) during which time he received the Pro Bono Award for excellence in community service.
